THE President of SYRIZA Progressive Alliance, Alexis Tsiprasheld a tour today, Saturday, May 7 in the market of Keratsini. During the tour Mr. Tsipras discussed with traders and consumers about the dramatic reduction of their income and market movement, the huge electricity bills which for months now exceed in many cases exceed their monthly income and the insufficient and delayed measures announced yesterday by Mr. Mitsotakis for fear of the rapid deterioration of the government.
After his tour of the Keratsini market, Mr. Tsipras made the following statement to the press:
«Nine months now we warn that dirty profiteering in energy will lead society into great crisis. Nine months now the government is making fun of uscalls us populists and constantly predicts that the phenomenon of accuracy will be temporary.
Today, frightened by the social rage, Mr. Mitsotakis is taking some measures, which, in fact, do not touch the mechanism of scandal. And they subsidize it, this time not from the accounts but from the fund, that is, from the money of the Greek taxpayers.
Mr. Mitsotakis continues the political deception of the citizens. When retroactively raises 600 euros, while the retrospectives it will give prove to be 280 million euros for 4.2 million consumers.
When consumers have time to open their accounts in June, the fraud will be exposed. And then the anger will become even greater.
It is good to tell the truth to the world, because things get worse afterwards.
Mr. Mitsotakis and ND, despite their false slogans, are not next to the citizens. They are next to the cartels, next to the filthy profits, next to the oligarchy, next to the blue golden boys who treasure. It is next to the big interests, but against the big social needs. Employees, retirees, the unemployed, the self-employed, young people.
