Former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras in his speech harshly criticized European policy on dealing with the energy crisis and spoke of long delays. Alongside attacked “the lobby of appeasement” which as he said, demands from Greece calming moves of Turkey and not claiming the rights arising from international law.
Mr Samaras criticizing Europe for its stance on energy problem said it found itself without terminals and pipelines when the crisis came in Ukraine, and perpetuated its dependence on Russia.
«Greece has every reason to promote the emergence of hydrocarbons as a saving solution. But it must assert its sovereign rights under international law and form alliances to overthrow Turkish dictatorships.Said Mr. Samaras.
