by

The extension of the term of office of the elected members of the service councils, in case no elections were held due to coronavirus, provides – inter alia – an amendment of the Ministry of Interior submitted to the bill of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for training and examination of candidate drivers. The bill is introduced for discussion and voting in the plenary session of the Parliament, next Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

Specifically, the term of office of the elected members of the service councils is extended until 31.12.2021 (expires on 31.10.2021), in cases where elections for the election of elected representatives were not held, as a result of the measures against the coronavirus (article 178 of law 4764 / 2020).

b. It is stipulated that the term of office of the elected representatives of the employees in the service and disciplinary councils of the Code of Status of Public Civil Servants and Employees of the N.P.D.D. (Law 3528/2007) and the Code of Municipal and Community Employees (Law 3584/2007), who have been elected or are elected after 31.12.2020, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19, expires on 31.12.2022, regardless of time of their election.

With the same amendment, it is also extended until 31.12.2021, instead of, as the case may be, the current expiration date:

-the possibility of meeting and taking decisions by teleconference of a collective body of any legal entity under private law or of any legal entity,

-the term of office of: i) designated boards of directors and other statutory bodies of cultural, sports, charitable and other associations and associations, sports associations and professional organizations, ii) Boards of Directors and Disciplinary Boards, Audit Committees and representatives of local representatives of the country in the Hellenic Dental Federation (E.O.O.),

-the term and the period for electronic remote conduct of meetings and appointments of the mentioned administrative bodies of the trade unions, etc. organizations,

-the date of convening the regular General Assembly of civil cooperatives and the term of office of the administrative and supervisory boards of civil cooperatives, as specifically defined.

Another provision extends the possibility of leasing beyond the duration of the tourist season, in derogation of the current legislation, by direct assignment, of main or non-main tourist accommodation, to cover public health emergencies related to the treatment of coronavirus.

b. The deadline for the duration of the relevant leases is extended until 31.12.2021 (expires on 31.10.2021), regardless of whether they have been concluded during or outside the tourist season.

c. The additional financial compensation provided by the Ministry of Tourism (par. 1 of article 121 of law 4790/2021) is paid to the owners of the aforementioned accommodation, provided that persons continue to live in the above accommodation beyond 31.12.2021 and until the completion of necessary days of stay set for each of them by the competent health authorities for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus.

d. It is possible to extend, until 31.12.2021 (expires on 31.10.2021), the validity of the mentioned lease agreements of the tourist accommodation of the Ministry of Tourism, which have been concluded based on the request for beds for the stay of confirmed cases of coronavirus 19 and their close contacts. The costs of these leases are borne by the regular budget of the Ministry of Tourism.

Also, it is extended again until 31.12.2021, instead of the 31.10.2021 that is in force, the deadline for the allocation of common space for the development of table seats free of charge to those interested, in addition to the corresponding and provided in the license.

Finally, the Organization of Social Solidarity Welfare Benefits (OPEKA) is given the opportunity to resort to the negotiated procedure without prior publication and to conclude until 31.12.2021 public contracts for the provision of manufacturing, packaging and distribution of hot meals, with the aim of serving the feeding needs of students of school units of primary public education in the context of the implementation of the program “School Meals” for the school year 2021-2022.
