“We are implementing in cooperation with the private sector our commitment to provide quality infrastructure for our patients, but also for the employees who offer their services to the National Health System. This effort is an ongoing effort. “We have significant resources from the Recovery Fund, in order to intervene in the basic hospital infrastructure of the country”, stressed the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis during his speech at his handover ceremony renovation project, by OPAP in the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility, of the pediatric hospitals “Agia Sofia” and “Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou”.

He added that “we will continue our cooperation with the private sector, which helped the National Health System during the difficult years of the Covid pandemic and will continue to help as we continue this effort to modernize the National Health System.” .

“Businesses have an obligation to return a social dividend”

“Large companies realize that they have an obligation to return to society a significant social dividend. It is not just a formal obligation in the context of Corporate Social Responsibility, I think that all modern companies understand their role in this difficult situation which we must all understand, differently than they did in the past. And I’m sure so OPAPas one of the largest Greek companies, will continue this program of Corporate Social Responsibility with even greater enthusiasm, especially now that it has realized how much added value it could add to our two Pediatric Hospitals “stressed Mr. Mitsotakis.

“What we are all trying to do is to provide health services safely, with respect to the patient, so that the patients who enter each hospital feel safe and feel that we are taking care of them. It is very important, in addition to the staff that is here and offers their services, as in every hospital and in every health structure, and is here to provide services with standardized procedures so that both they and the patients are safe. “to have good infrastructure”, said the Deputy Minister of Health Mina Gaga.

“At OPAP and Allwyn – our international company – we are very proud of the work of renovating the two largest pediatric hospitals in Greece. We firmly believe that companies do not make a difference just by their financial performance. Their response to social issues is just as important. The renovation of the two hospitals fully reflects this approach. With significant investment and hard work, the two hospitals now have state-of-the-art health facilities and an upgraded treatment environment. Of course, the most important of all is the support provided to thousands of children from all over Greece. This is the biggest reward for us “, noted the Chairman of the Board of Allwyn and Strategic Shareholder of OPAP, Karel Komárek.

“At the end of this long journey, our Pediatric Hospitals changed their appearance, offering a modern but at the same time more hospitable and attractive environment for young patients, with bright colors and a similar theme. “Above all, however, we can talk about two hospitals with excellent health infrastructure and modernized units based on international standards, more functional for the doctors and the staff, whom I would like to thank especially”, pointed out the Commander of the Paevman Children’s Hospital .
