Commissioned by UEFA, there is an independent account of what happened in and around the Stade de France in the Champions League final.

Before the match in Paris, there was a disturbing scene as Liverpool fans stayed for hours in a small space, even though they were waiting for match tickets to enter the stadium.

Fortunately, the police used tear gas after forcing more people from behind to avoid, causing oppression and serious injury.

French authorities have charged thousands of people trying to enter the stadium with fake tickets, with French Interior Minister Gerald Dharmanin saying Reds boss Jurgen Klopp would go to Paris if he didn’t have a ticket and accusing fans to go.

Liverpool Football Club mistakenly turned fans away and demanded an independent review of what they received.

The UEFA statement says:

“A comprehensive review ultimately examines the decisions, responsibilities and actions of all stakeholders.

It happened after Liverpool chief executive Billy Hogan said on Monday that he was exactly driving it.

“It’s good to hear that others are looking for a truly independent and transparent investigation into the organization of the finals in Paris,” he said. “We have written an independent investigation request to UEFA.

“We also express our deep concern about the spread of false information and at the same time ask UEFA to agree to an open and transparent investigation into everything that happened on Saturday night.”
