The president of SEGAS, Sofia Sakorafa, accepted the proposal of the Balkan Athletics Union next Friday to participate in the ceremony of the promotion of the top athletes of the Balkans for 2021 and at the same time accepted the proposal of the president of EEC, Dobromir Karamari same meeting in Belgrade.
Ms. Sakorafa will have the opportunity to discuss with the President of the European Federation of Classic Sports about joint actions and cooperation in the near future and a number of issues of common interest. During her stay in Serbia, Ms. Sakorafa will also meet with the President of the Serbian Federation, Slobodan Brankovic, on the occasion of the World Indoor Championships next March in the Serbian capital.
George Pomaski, who will be honored during the Gala for the gold medal won by Miltos Tentoglou at the Tokyo Olympics, will also travel to Bulgaria as an ABAF guest.
The ABAF conference will be held next Friday morning, during which the pending issues for the Balkan competition program will be finalized. The proceedings of the conference will be attended by the Director of SEGAS Games, Andreas Gogas and the technical director, Christos Meletoglou.
The first special secretary of SEGAS, Panagiotis Dimakos, who is a member of the board of directors of ABAF and EEC, will also be present at the ABAF events.
