An exciting player was a little more than he could bite when he took on the wrong defender, a former British heavyweight champion and ex-opponent of Mike Tyson who kicked him to the curb.
A video clip from Wembley’s Box Park shows a change between a group of men and guards outside the scene.
Julius Francis, now 57, is depicted in the context of an initially estranged confrontation.
But when everything begins to ferment, one of the men turns to the other.
Then the same man moves towards Francis. Francis takes a step back and then launches a lightning bolt. Francis drops it and cools it.

According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department, “Police are aware of a leaked video on social media showing an incident involving security guards and the general public at Wembley Box Park.
“The situation, including the identity and well-being of the participants, is being investigated.
A BoxPark spokesperson said:
“This case is currently under investigation and is part of an ongoing investigation, so we cannot comment further on what happened at this time.
We want to emphasize that the safety and well-being of our clients and staff is our number one priority.
Francis left professional boxing in 2006 after 48 fights.
He won the vacant Commonwealth title in 1997, and three months later won the British title by defeating Gary Delaney in Belfast.
South Londoners also shared the ring with two modern heavyweight boxing legends, including former 1998 champion Vitali Klitschko, and Ukrainians still schooled in the sport.
Two years later, at Tyson, Manchester, he fought “the worst man on the planet”. Francis lost both battles after being interrupted in the second round.
