The women’s table tennis team of Panathinaikos AO is facing high European ambition. From Friday 17 to Sunday 19 June he takes part in the final 8 of the inter-club Cup Europe Trophy, in the so-called Grand Final and seeks a high position. He was the leader of a group in the first phase, which took place at the end of May in Latvia and had confirmed the predictions with two wide victories. He has the same role in groups of the final phase, in the Czech Republic and with full composition he clearly has the conditions to proceed further. The Greek Women’s 2022 Cup winner has led the 1st of the two groups and will face in the city of Havirov, very close to Ostrava, SKST Bratislava from Slovakia, Draycott & Long Eaton TTC from England and SCO Ossiachersee Bodensdorf Austria. He goes to his destination at noon on Thursday 16/06, through Katowice, he will line up with Katerina Toliou, Elisabeth Terpou, Maria Artsetou, Sandra Pergel and Ana Tofant, while the coach and leader of the mission is Lefteris Makras.
At the beginning of the first appearance of the third inter-club European Cup for men and women, Panathinaikos had played in Riga and emerged as the winner in the group for Regions B, D, G, H. In relation to the games in Latvia it has in the Czech Republic , while coach Nikos Zervas will be absent due to other professional obligations.
With great athletes from Greece and abroad, the team has an initial goal to enter the semifinals of the Europe Trophy. He will succeed if he wins one of the first two places of the group and then the cross semi-finals will take place. Those teams that are left out of the 4th team will continue in qualifying matches.
