The big time for the revival of the Acropolis International Boxing Cup has arrived. The biggest sporting and cultural event starts today (16/9) at the Panathinaiko Stadium and ends on June 19.
Greece, which is the birthplace of sports, is organizing the important event and the young children will have the opportunity to get to know the most historic and important stadium in the world and to compete in it, with the entrance for the spectators in Kallimarmaro being free. For the first time since 1975 at the Panathinaiko Stadium, a unique jewel in the world, there will be an international boxing event.
In a spectacular celebration where sport meets art, 200 boxers from around the world will compete for the Olympia Awards and among them will be 28 Greek athletes. Also, renowned artists will participate in the opening and closing ceremonies, with a rich and special artistic program.
At the same time, according to the will of the late Evangelos Zappas, the institution of Olympia returns, with a special award of the top champions, while an international campaign will be held to save the sport of boxing, as an integral pillar of the Olympic Ideal. from the Olympic Games.
The aim of the leading sports organization “International Acropolis Boxing Cup” is to motivate young children to come close to sports, exercise, well-being, but also to acquire hard work, fighting spirit, mental strength in the arena of life.
