O’Brien explains how O’Sullivan became everything we were thinking about.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has become the consensus best pool player of all time, and Fergal O’Brien watched him play for Ilford over 30 years ago.

Fergal also saw O’Sullivan doing what other players wouldn’t to keep his mind and game sharp.

“I saw him go to the Ilford Club on Sunday and probably play pool for a few hours,” O’Brien continued. “The case on the left may start out sad, but he knows it well. I heard he was training on Christmas day.
