Raí invests R$ 16 million to be a shareholder in a French second division team

by

Former player Raí, who played for Paris Saint-Germain in the 1990s, became this Tuesday (28) one of the shareholders of Paris FC, as informed by the president of the club in the second division of the French Championship, Pierre Ferracci.

The company Sport Bridges Venture (SBV), in which Raí participates, bought around 10% of the shares, with an investment of more than 3 million euros (R$ 16.6 million). “There will be a bigger budget for signings, for infrastructure and for the women’s team, which will play in the European Champions League,” said the team’s representative.

“Raí’s dimension far surpasses the world of football”, highlighted the top hat. “We increased the capital by 8 million euros (R$ 44 million), the fourth time since I’ve been in charge of the team, and most of the minority shareholders stayed. I keep the majority of the shares”, explained the director.

Raí confirmed his participation as a shareholder in Paris FC. And he decided to send a message to PSG fans.

“Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am and today I couldn’t commit to a new challenge in football in our capital. I hope this story continues between us,” he wrote on his Instagram account.

World champion for the national team in 1994, Raí won the French Championship in 1994 and the European Cup in 1996 for PSG.

In May, Paris FC played in the preliminary stage of the play-off for access to the first division of the French Championship, but ended up being eliminated by Sochaux.
