Firsts for the Greeks in an international lion canoe event

The three-day 8 to 10 July was held at the Corinth Shooting Range, by the Corinth Sports Shooting Club, the third in a row of the four International Shotgun IPSC Competitions under the auspices of BENELLI, the largest company in the field of hunting weapons.

The three-day race, level III, consisted of 24 stages and brought together athletes from several European countries such as Italy, the Czech Republic, Germany, Bulgaria and Northern Ireland, as well as many Greeks.

In the OPEN category, the Panhellenic champion Michalis Chatzigiannismaintained his dominance with particular ease over the rest of the athletes in the category.

In the STANDARD category, o Ioannis Topalidis took 1st place comfortably and kept a safe margin of 13% from 2nd in class, and 15% from 3rd.

In the MODIFIED category, in which important foreign athletes competed, the Panhellenic champion of the category George Philippoumanaged to hold on to the 1st place on the podium with a difference of 5% from the Italian champion Aniello Sgambato.

TFC’s next target, the fourth race under the auspices of BENELLI, in the city of Verona, Italy in October.
