KOE is organizing this year’s “Samartzidis Cup” at the Swimming Pool of Heraklion, 29-31 of the month, with the participation of the national polo team of the Netherlands, Germany and Montenegro.
Regarding the organization, Thodoris Vlachos, our federal coach, emphasized that: “It was my proposal to hold this tournament here. Through KOE and Ms. Marini, Crete “embraced” it and I am sure that the Swimming Pool will be full in all the competitions. It will be a high level of competition.
We also thank the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Heraklion and Mr. Avgenakis. Heraklion needs a modern swimming pool and we will gladly come to inaugurate it. Also, KOE works for the development of sports in the region and it is important that Heraklion has teams in A1 water polo.
Our national team is a high level team and does not fear any opponent. I only fear bad luck in preparation. Our athletes have both the motivation and the soul to excel.”
