The “Torch 2021” games (3-5 / 12) will be held at the newly reconstructed stadium of the National Sports Center. Five teams will take part in the games, namely the National Team of Greece, the team from the Moscow region (Russia), the team from Florence (Italy), the team from Bruno (Czech Republic) and, of course, the Torch of Thessaloniki.
The players who participate in our representative team are: George Ambatzis, Emilios Kaklamanos, Theodoros Siotas, Dimitris Feimoglou, Dimos Zacharos, Efstratios Englezos, Sostis Karagiannopoulos and Nikolaos Gagoulis.
The international tournament has a history of 24 years, with the first being held in 1997, the year when Thessaloniki was the European Capital of Culture.
The games will be held according to the rules of the International Sports Federation for the Blind. The organizer of the tournament is the Athletic Association of the Blind Torch.
The games will start on Friday at 16:00 with the match Pyrsos Thessaloniki-Florence, while the closing ceremony and the award will take place on Sunday morning (11:00).
