The 12th game of Super League 1 continues today with three matches, in which yesterday we had very good results with spectacular football and a total of 12 goals were scored in an equal number of games!
We hope to have the same, similar, continuation today in the games that will be held in Nikaia and “Kleanthis Vikelidis”, while in the evening the match that gathers all eyes is the AEK-Panathinaikos derby in OAKA.
Finally, the match was not postponed (following a relevant request of the police due to the presence of the Pope in Greece) and Ionikos will host PAOK on Sunday afternoon (5/12, 17:15) at the stadium of Naples. The hosts have proven to be a competitive team, however in their last games they can not combine their good performances with enough points. PAOK is in a very bad momentum, coming from two consecutive defeats in the championship, where it did not even score (2-0 from Atromitos and 1-0 from Aris). Now, it is at -13 from the champion Olympiakos (match above) and at -4 from AEK. Read more here
Both Aris and Asteras Tripolis want to continue in the victories. Akis Mantzios’s team prevailed 1-0 over PAOK in an episodic game and is in 7th place in the standings last game, while the next game goes to Faliro to face Olympiakos. On the other hand, Asteras Tripolis comes from the imposing 6-2 against Atromitos and with the psychology being high. The next match, the guests welcome AEK in Tripoli. Arkades will be deprived of the services of Santafe, Kapia and Sito, while on the other hand, Jeronimo Barrales returns after three penalty matches. Read more here
Yesterday’s 3-1 win over OFI in Heraklion … ruined AEK and made Panathinaikos. The need for victory in tonight’s Athenian derby of OAKA increased for the Union, which is now left at -9 by the “red and whites”, with the “clover” on the other hand having the opportunity with a “double” to rise to its top four Super League standings 1. So one realizes that the match has a much bigger stake than a simple prestige of the traditional rivalry between the two teams. Read more here
