Anthony Joshua told Tyson Fury that he will be ready to fight in December.

Joshua suffered his third professional loss last month after defeating Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch for the heavyweight title.

Fury, meanwhile, was hoping to challenge Usyk for the undisputed crown this year, but he won’t be back in the ring until 2023 as he recovers from injury and wants to spend time with his family, he says.

Fury, who is on a 33-game unbeaten streak, faces Joshua in the Battle of Britain this week.

Fury said: “You may have heard that I will be fighting in the next few months.

“I think it should be done before announcing the rival, just in case.
