Jennifer Lawrence says she had two miscarriages before her first child

Actress Jennifer Lawrence, 32, has revealed that she has suffered two miscarriages before giving birth to her first child, Cy, in February this year. She recalled the difficult moments in a new interview with Vogue, the magazine of which she will be on the cover in October.

Lawrence said she became pregnant for the first time when she was 20, and at the time, she was already planning to have an abortion. However, the artist says that she lost the baby before she had the procedure. “I was alone in Montreal,” she said.

The second time took place during the filming of the feature film “Don’t Look Up” (Netflix), in 2020. At the time, she had to undergo surgery. “I remembered a million times [desses momentos] during my pregnancy,” she said. “I had a lucky pregnancy.”

Cy is the result of the actress’ relationship with Cooke Maroney, 37. The couple chose to remain private about much of the pregnancy, since a representative for Lawrence confirmed in September 2021 that the actress would be expecting a baby.

In November last year, the artist said that she does not intend to give interviews about her son, as much as she is “grateful and excited” to become a mother. “If I were at a dinner party and someone said, ‘My God, you’re having a baby,’ I wouldn’t be, ‘I can’t talk about this. Get away from me, you psychopath!’ body want to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives as much as I can,” he explained.
