The 61-year-old coach was born in Krusevo in Northern Macedonia and has a long career in the field, having worked in the Balkans and Turkey, while he has also been its federal coach.
In his first professional steps, Milenkoski first served as an assistant coach (1992-1997) and then (1997-2008) as the first coach of the National Team of Northern Macedonia, counting over 100 games with the national team.
At the same time he worked in clubs of his country, initially in Borec Veles (1993-94) and in the course in Rabotnicki Fersped, where he remained for 13 years (1994-2007), winning many titles (13 championships, 10 cups). During this period he became 8 times the top coach (1995, 1996, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) of Northern Macedonia.
Teams from Montenegro (Budvanska Rivijera Budva) and Tunisia (Club Sportif Sfaxien) followed, while in the country that was to stay for years, was Turkey, first in Maliye Piyango Ankara (2011-17) and then in Ziraat Bankas; Ankara (2017-19), which led to the CEV Cup final – for history, was defeated by the mighty Russian Belogorie Belgorod.
His successes in Turkey led him to the helm of the National Team in 2017, leading it to 11th place in that year’s Eurovolley.

In addition to his coaching career, Josko Milenkoski has authored a book on volleyball and published more than 70 papers on physical education and sports, with a Ph.D.
