This Thursday (15th) the sale of entries for the 97th São Silvestre International Race began, one of the most traditional events in the country’s sports calendar. Organizers expect 35,000 athletes to run the 15 km route through the streets of São Paulo on December 31.
The value of the basic registration increased from R$ 210 to R$ 230, an adjustment of 9.5% compared to last year. The kit for athletes includes a t-shirt, bag with gifts and a medal.
Those who want to invest more and run the race in style can opt for the Premium ticket. In addition to starting ahead of the other runners, those registered in the premium peloton guarantee a t-shirt, medal, pair of compression socks, bag, cap, windbreaker, pre-race snack, exclusive bathroom and preferential service desk for kit delivery. The athlete who chooses this modality will pay R$ 850.
Kits will be picked up between the 27th and 30th of December, still without a defined location. The organization of the race also did not inform about possible changes in the route – only the start in front of number 900 of Avenida Paulista is confirmed.
This will be the second São Silvestre since the emergence of the pandemic, in 2020. Last year, with a high number of cases of covid-19, the competition gathered approximately 20 thousand people.
São Silvestre is organized by Yescom and has an exclusive sale of subscriptions through the Ticket Sports website.
