Opinion – Juca Kfouri: I ask for your vote

If you’re going to vote for 13, don’t even read what follows. You will probably find the text mushy, wasteful, instead of dealing with the Libertadores decision.

I happen to be taken by the atmosphere created by the rascal Aécio Neves since his defeat to Dilma Rousseff.

You will remember, he said he was capable of ruining the country, but would prevent it from ruling.

Then came the bombings, impeachment, the traitor Michel Temer, and then the unspeakable figure and his gang —backed by the scum of Tupiniquin communicators and the worst in the Judiciary, from the Republic of Curitiba to the TRF-4, by endorsing vigilantes without worrying about evidence.

The result is there: the environment destroyed, the culture devastated, the prejudices supported and almost 700 thousand dead. Almost 700 thousand dead!

Everything became natural. The sociopath when ridiculing shortness of breath, the herdsman, the rude and incompetent, Minister of Economy, illiterate, forgers and corrupt in the Ministry of Education, the crazy ones of the guava tree, the horror.

The presidential clan is a succession of crackers, in the style of the patriarch, who idolizes torturers. In fact, that was enough to prevent him from having any space, in addition to being a manager of a militia condominium.

Complex, he turned against everything, everyone and everyone who contradicted him.

For all this, and certainly for many other reasons forgotten here, I ask for your vote on who guarantees that you will be able to vote again in 2026, in 2030 and so on.

Do not allow Brazil to become Hungary, Venezuela, or Hitler’s Germany, Mussolini’s Italy or Stalin’s Soviet Union.

Democracy is fundamental, even the mambembe that we still have and that needs to be refounded because, around the world, it has been discredited, thanks to the economic regime that prevails without worrying about including the excluded, savage capitalism.

I don’t expect to see Brazil become Denmark, because I’m too old to be naive.

But I saw the country prosper, take off, as the British magazine The Economist wrote, and a president who, with 87% approval, refused to hold a referendum for a third term.

Who was arrested without evidence so he wouldn’t come back in 2018 and he’s there, at the head of a broad front that doesn’t even hurt.

I’m not a candidate for anything, my business isn’t even batucada and I’ll die a journalist.

I just want to see my two granddaughters feel proud of the country they live in, as well as my four children, as they still can.

I have always been on the left and I prefer to say that I am a humanist who does not accept hunger, ignorance and the lies of scoundrels.

Like Dilma Rousseff, I don’t have the stomach to put up with self-serving politicians.

Lula has, conciliator that he is. Fernando Haddad has it too.

You can take the militia out of Brasília and stop it in São Paulo.
