by

At the Pan-European Women’s Championship in Montenegro, our National Team completed its presence in the best way since it brought to Greece a Bronze medal and a 5th place in its “luggage”, showing once again that the “blue and white gloves” leave their mark from where even if they pass.

All our Champions gave their best in the ring, they fought with stubbornness, passion and special dynamism, worthy representing our National colors.

The President of the Hellenic Boxing Federation, Mr. Haris Mariolis, was present at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport, together with the Head Federation Coach, Mr. Artur Mikaelian and the Technical Director of the EOP, Antonis Giannoula. Mr. Mariolis welcomed the Greek delegation holding red roses which he offered to our Champions and our Federal coaches while giving his congratulations and best wishes to the members of our National Team.

The president of the EOP, Mr. Haris Mariolis, was particularly moved and spoke about the new great success of our National Team, saying the following:

I am very proud and very pleased with the progress of our National Women’s Team in the Pan-European Championship. Our Champion Olga Papadatou won the Bronze Medal and competed against extremely strong athletes showing that the level in Greek Boxing has risen a lot and she can deservedly claim the highest place on the podium.

At the same time, Chrysoula Plea won the 5th place, but also all our Champions played amazing matches. Congratulations to the entire Greek delegation, to our dynamic Champions and to our Federal Coaches who, with intensive work every time, prove to us that both our Male and Female Athletes have entered an unabated pace of preparation for the upcoming qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris , where the Hellenic Boxing Federation I am sure will play a leading role for our country.
