“It was a really crazy drum set. We were picking the wrong waves at first and it was making me tense, but Nic (Von Rupp) managed to calm me down and we ended up getting a bomb,” says Pedro Scooby, who surfed a perfect tube during the event.

The men’s individual dispute was fierce between the Brazilians Chumbo and Scooby. Although Pedro surfed an impressive tube, which earned him almost a ten, (9.5), Lucas Chumbo got the better of the final sum, with 23.34 to 22.90 for Scooby.

Despite perfect conditions, the expected tidal waves did not roll. Therefore, there was no expectation of breaking records.

among women

The French and favorite for the title, Justine Dupont did justice to the favoritism and even with an interference was ahead of the Brazilians Maya Gabeira and Michelle de Bouillons.
