The National teams learn their opponents in Eurovolley

The Eurovolleyball 2023 men’s and women’s draw will take place in Naples on Wednesday evening. Italy will be the host country for both men and women.

EOPE is in the southern Italian city with the President, Giorgos Karabetsos, and the Executive Director, Pericles Bakodimos, who will meet with the head of the CEV, Aleksandar Borisic, as well as representatives of the European federations who will be in Naples.

The Women’s Eurovolley will be held August 15-September 3, 2023 with Belgium, Germany, Italy and Estonia as host countries.

Group A will be played in Belgium and the matches will be played in Ghent.

Group B will take place in Italy and the games will be hosted in Verona, Monza and Turin.

Group C will take place in Germany and the matches will be played in Dusseldorf.

Group D will take place in Estonia and the capital Tallinn will be the host city.

Men’s Eurovolley will be held from 28 August to 16 September 2023 with Italy, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Israel hosting Europe’s top 24 teams.

Group A will be played in Italy and the matches will be played in Rome, Perugia and Ancona.

Group B will be played in Bulgaria and the matches will be played in Varna.

Group C will take place in North Macedonia and Skopje will host the matches.

Group D will take place in Israel and the games will be hosted in Tel Aviv.

The European Men’s Championship 2023 will feature: 1. Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Israel as organizers.

2. Slovenia, Poland, Serbia, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Ukraine from the final ranking of Eurovolley 2021.

3. Greece, Turkey, Finland, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Romania, Switzerland, Denmark, Montenegro, Estonia and Croatia who qualified through the qualifiers. Croatia took Russia’s place.

The European Women’s Championship 2023 will feature:

1. Belgium, Italy, Estonia, Germany as organizers.

2. Serbia, Turkey, Netherlands, Poland, France, Sweden, Bulgaria from the final ranking of Eurovolley 2021.

3. Greece, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bosnia, Spain, Romania, Hungary, Finland and Azerbaijan who qualified through qualifiers.

4. After Russia’s non-participation, CEV decided to qualify Switzerland as the best third of the qualifiers.

The four host countries will head the four groups and, before the draw process begins, each will have the right to choose a country they want to have as their opponent in the group they will host.

Thus, the remaining 16 teams that qualified either through their ranking from Eurovolley 2021, or through the qualifiers, will enter the draw and the final four groups of six teams will emerge.
