The Brazilian team’s schedule in Qatar was set up in order to avoid any kind of distraction, thus, access to players is restricted. Political figures who passed through the country are no exception.

Arthur Lira (PP-AL), president of the Chamber of Deputies, was one of those who passed by the headquarters of the World Cup, at the invitation of the Parliament of Qatar. He should land in Brazil this Tuesday (29), after Brazil’s victory against Switzerland by 1 to 0.

One of the sons of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) also traveled to the country. He was spotted watching the game against Switzerland, which led to criticism from militants.

The Brazilian squad is isolated in a wing of the Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, in the capital Doha, which serves as the base for the team during the tournament.

The number of people who have access to athletes is restricted. The list includes members of the technical commission, a few CBF employees and a few managers. Among them, the president of the entity, Ednaldo Rodrigues.

The idea of the confederation is that contact with people outside this circle is avoided as much as possible so that interactions that are seen as distractions do not happen.

Even the food made for players and coaching staff is not shared with other CBF employees and guests who are also at the hotel.

An exception will happen this Tuesday (29), when the athletes will receive visits from family members in the afternoon (Qatar time).
