Argentina’s coach, Lionel Scaloni, said this Tuesday (29) that he was happy with Brazil’s qualification for the round of 16 of the Qatar Cup.
The Brazilian team won its first two games at the World Cup, against Serbia (2-0) and Switzerland (1-0), and secured itself in the next phase of the tournament.
The Argentines, on the other hand, play their survival against Poland this Wednesday (30), after having lost in the debut to Saudi Arabia (2 to 1) and beaten Mexico (2 to 0) in the second round.
“I’m South American and I’m happy with Brazil passing by. I’m the number one fan of South American football”, said Scaloni.
“If it doesn’t work for Argentina, I prefer a South American to pass. Brazil is doing a great job, and I congratulate them”, declared the coach.
