The great Brasko Kata has “gone”.

by

Sadness for Jose Brasco Kata. The Spanish technician “passed away” on Monday at the age of 93, having left a significant legacy both in the Iberian country’s polo and with his presence in Greek water polo.

“Pepe”, as the federal coach of the Men’s National Polo Team, led the representative group to eighth place at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, highlighting Giorgos Mavrotas.

As manager of Chios in 1990, he led them to win the Greek Cup against Glyfada at Zappeion Swimming Pool and made NOX the first provincial team to win the trophy.

In the 1994-95 season, he took fourth place with Vouliagmeni, with whom he lost in the final of the Greek Cup to NOP.
