Defender Ben White has left the England camp “for personal reasons” and will not continue playing in the Qatar Cup, the FA (English Football Federation) announced on Wednesday.
“It is not foreseen that he will return to the group before the end of the tournament”, informed the FA about the Arsenal player, without giving details and asking for “respect for his personal life”.
White, 25, did not play for the English team in the three matches played by Group B of the World Cup, victories over Iran and Wales and a draw with the United States.
England qualified for the Round of 16 and will face Senegal on Sunday (4).
