Kely Nascimento, Pelé’s daughter, published an image on social networks holding her father’s hand while watching the match between Argentina and Croatia, for the semifinals of the World Cup in Qatar.
Pelé, 82, has been hospitalized since November 29, undergoing treatment for colon cancer and a respiratory infection.
In the last medical bulletin, released on Monday (12), the Hospital Albert Einstein says that Pelé “continues to show improvement in his clinical condition, especially in the respiratory infection”. “He remains in a common room, conscious and with stable vital signs”, says the text.
As shown to Sheet on December 2, the former athlete stopped responding to chemotherapy and started receiving palliative care. Pelé’s daughters reacted, trying to reassure the fans.
