PAOK is going for an upset and qualification

by

PAOK need a 3-0 or 3-1 set win after their 1-3 set loss in Tel Aviv against Maccabi in their first leg of the Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup Round of 16 and then prevail in the “golden set” to qualify for the quarterfinals.

“Very soon we have another important match. It is a very difficult and demanding period for us, but there is no time for complaining and we are fully focused on our next opponent”, Josko Milenkoski initially commented and added that:

“Maccabi is a serious and quality team and we have a difficult task ahead of us, as in order to qualify we must reach the “golden” set and conquer it. We are ready and well prepared, but we also want the support of our people, just as Maccabi had it in Tel Aviv. And with the people on our side, we will have much greater chances to qualify.”

For his part, Thodoris Voulkidis noted that: “We have been waiting for the game since the day we lost in Israel. We are waiting for Maccabi in “Palataki” to qualify. I think we are a much better team and we will show that on Thursday in the stadium. I invite all the people of PAOK to come to the stadium and celebrate this qualification together”.
