YouTuber and comedian Diogo Defante was almost arrested due to a game of kneeling down imitating the roar of a lion, during a live broadcast to CazéTV, after the France-Morocco game, in the Qatar World Cup, on Wednesday (13).
Reporter Marwa El Hage showed Defante imitating the lion and joked that he was not very well with the defeat of the Moroccan national team when police tried to arrest the comedian. The camera was lowered and the transmission cut while the reporter explained to the police that it was a joke.
Minutes later, the comedian explained what happened. “I came here to reassure everyone, there was an uproar in the chat: ‘Where’s the Defante?’
“He was almost arrested, but I managed it with some money that I’ll collect after Cazé, I’ll write it down here. There are 100 Qataris [cerca de R$ 145]that’s what you’re worth,” Marwa said with a laugh.
Defante’s near arrest drew jokes and memes from netizens. “Why were you arrested? “I was on all fours from Qatar”, tweeted the netizen, adding photos of the kneeling streamer. Then the security guards/police didn’t like his ‘little roar’, I just like Defante, I love this guy,” wrote internet user Sophia Dini.
“Defante was almost arrested and the last image of him at liberty that we would have would be of him on all fours imitating a lion. How I love it”, wrote the internet user, who identifies himself as Jessy. “That’s the tweet. Defante almost getting arrested for this scene [de joelhos imitando o leão]”, commented the profile @lettsecret.
