Investigations were carried out in the previous two days (18-19 / 20/2021) in places where sports clubs of sports clubs operate by the competent police services, in the presence of court officials, throughout Epirus.
Overall, they were carried out 5 checks and 4 locals were arrested, against whom lawsuits were filed for -case- construction and possession of explosives and for violations of the legislation on amateur and professional sports, on weapons, flares and sparklers.
In particular, in one case was arrested the legal representative, while during the investigation were found and confiscated:
incendiary Molotov cocktails,
gasoline bottle 500 ml,
-2 crates with empty bottles of beer and soft drinks,
-7 nautical flares, flare and sparkler,
-2 iron bars,
-2 axes,
-2 screwdrivers,
hammer and glazing hammer,
chain length (8.65) meters and
-2 helmets.
In another case, a person responsible for the operation of a sports club club was temporarily arrested without the permission of the competent police authority, while during the investigation found and confiscated:
– 7 fire extinguishers,
– 14 helmets,
– 2 hand torches,
52 cm long folding metal rod (glop),
2 metal pipes of length 150 and 60 cm respectively and
wooden rod (stiliari) 72 cm long.
Also, two people present at the scene were arrested, in whose possession were found and confiscated a “butterfly” type dagger with a length of 21 cm and a dagger with a length of 12 cm.
The arrested were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
