Three days after his removal Dimitris Kazazis from the club’s technical leadership, Mr Finikas of Syros announced his hiring Aleksandar Senisic for the position of coach.
THE 58 year old Serbian with a long tenure on the benches of national teams, such as those of Serbia, Bahrain and Kuwait, he signed a cooperation contract until the end of current season.

“Foinikas Syros ONEX announces the hiring of the coach, Aleksandar Senicic. With a long tenure at both club and national level, the Serbian coach will lead Phoenix’s bid to the second round of the league in all competitions he participates in.
Aleksandar Senisic was born on February 15, 1964, for 16 years he played as a passer in the Serbian clubs Ribnica (1978-91), Smederevo (1992-93) and Mladic Radnik (1993-94) and from 1997 he started his coaching career , first as an assistant coach in the National Team of Serbia (1997-2001) and then in the National Teams of Bahrain (2006-09) and Kuwait (2021-22).
At the same time, at an inter-club level, he returned to Ribnica, as a coach now (1994-97), to Mladic Radnik (1997-2004), to the Bulgarian Pirin in 2005 and then started his career in the Gulf countries. Initially as coach of the Bahrain national team and for the next 12 years at Kazma, with which he has won many championships and cups”.
In his first statements as coach of Phoenix, Aleksandar Senisic stated that:
“I decided to take charge of Foinikas because it is a team with good organization, high expectations and great players. Something confirmed to me by my colleagues from Serbia who have been through the club.
My personal ambitions are always high. The goal is to create a good atmosphere game by game, which combined with dynamic training will bring results that will speak for themselves. In this context, I ask the players for honesty and readiness for hard work, as I consider that their goals converge with mine.
