At the end of his international career, it seems that Nikola Mirotic!

The Montenegrin with a Spanish passport told Mundo Deportivo that he considers it unlikely that he will return to the Spanish national team, saying that he has a long time to play while at the moment there is already a very good natural in the team, Lorenzo Brown.

The Barcelona forward struggled with the “rocha” in Eurobasket 2015winning the gold medal, and in 2016 Olympic Gameswinning the bronze.

What Mirotic said in detail:

Regarding the possibility of playing again with the national team: “I don’t think so because I haven’t played with them for many years, I’ve been very focused on giving everything to the club I’m at. After the summer, I have a lot of personal things, the family. And I’m at an age, especially after the injury and all that, where I don’t see myself coming back with the national team.”

As for Lorenzo Brown, who essentially took his naturalized position: “I spoke to Jorge Garbajosa before Lorenzo Brown was acquired as a naturalized and he asked me if I would come back or not. He wanted to confirm that I wouldn’t be coming back so they went for another player. It was a great success, look how it went, they won Eurobasket, showing once again that they are the best team and that the way they prepare is incredible.”

On his years in the national team: “I am grateful for what they have done for me, for the opportunity I had to play twice with the senior team, a Eurobasket title and a bronze medal at the Olympics.”
