THE LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the two leaders at 2023 NBA All Star Game to be held in Salt Lake, Utah on February 19. Greek Freak led in votes in the East and the “king” in the West, so they will be the ones to choose their teammates.
The Greek international, who will take part in the All Star Game for the seventh time and captain for the third time after 2019 and 2020, was selected in the East along with Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant (Nets), Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers) and Jayson Tatum (Celtics). De Lebron, who is captain for the fifth time, i.e. since the first year of establishing the new format, pioneered in the West together with Nikola Jokic (Nuggets), Steph Curry (Warriors), Luka Doncic (Mavericks) and Zion Williamson (Pelicans).
For the selection of the main ones, the votes of the public were counted by 50%, while the votes of the players and representatives of the media were counted from 25%.
The coaches of the 30 teams in the league will select the 14 substitutes (7+7 from each region) on February 2nd and then on February 19th the two captains will alternately select their teammates live.
