Debut with the right of Grigoriou, a great “double” of Ionikos in Lamia and… fire at the tail!

Huge… double and breath for Ionian! The Nicaeans left victorious (0-2) from the headquarters of Lamia, in the big derby for the 20th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League, with Michalis Grigoriou to make his debut with the… right on their bench, even against his former team.

This was the first victory – and second in this year’s championship – for the “blue and white” after November 5, when they had won with the same score again away from home, this time against OFI. Thus, even if they remained in the bottom, they went to 11 points, at -1 from the Ghoul and to -2 by Leviathanwith the battle of the eve raging for good!

Grigoriou’s side scored both of their goals in the first half, both from corner kicks. The 0-1 was made by his own goal Beharano in the 19′ and the 0-2 at 44′ by Valerian (first goal for the Greek left back since 2015). The hosts entered the match stronger, however, the first goal completely short-circuited them, with Ionikos raising his performance himself and – being perfectly set up – controlling the match without a problem until the finale.

It should be noted that towards the end of the first part, the Vergos fell to the ground because dizziness. As soon as he got up, he was immediately taken to ambulancewith the newest news being thankfully reassuring. In particular, the neurological examination to which he was submitted came out clean. At the same time, he is not dizzy, he remembers things, while he will undergo further tests at the city hospital.
