Sofia Sakorafa met on Tuesday with the president of the Board of Directors of the EAKN of Agios Kosmas, Meropi Moschogiannis, and representatives of the construction company and conveyed to them the position of SEGAS regarding the eviction of the athletics athletes from the hostels of the Sports Center.
After the meeting, the president of SEGAS emphasized that: “Some people think they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, in whatever way they want, ignoring their own laws and above all ignoring and neglecting the Federation and the athletes.
I want to state that the Federation will do everything possible to defend its interests and above all the interests of its athletes and clubs. I will add that I am very puzzled by the absence of the Ministry of Health in principle, that is, the competent ministry, but also the silence of Mr. Deputy Minister in relation to what is happening at the EAKN Agios Kosmas.
It is not possible for our champions to be on the road at the moment, in a bad, indeed, psychological state. High level athletes who in a few days will have to prepare to take part in top competitions. Mr. Deputy Minister must, now, here and now, decide what he wants to do. And what he must decide is that no athlete will be moved from Agios Kosmas until further notice and until, as the law stipulates, the procedures are completed.”
Members of the administration and committees, athletes and coaches, participated in the meeting with the administration of EAKN Agios Kosmas.
