An important decision regarding the health protocol was made by NBA in collaboration with the Players Union.
Specifically, the league announced that vaccinated players and coaches will be able to return to their duties after six days quarantine and not ten as was the case before.
Of course, a necessary condition for this to happen will be the negative results of the tests that will be submitted. That is, if it is confirmed that they will not contribute to the spread of the coronavirus, then they will be quarantined. In fact, the new measure will be implemented immediately.
In the meantime, this decision comes in the midst of a major outbreak of the virus in the NBA as well 172 people have entered in the last two weeks in health protocol status, while on Sunday (26/12) there was a negative record with 27 cases.
Vaccinated NBA players and coaches can now clear quarantine after six days if Covid-testing data shows they’re no longer at risk to be infectious, according to a memo distributed to teams Monday and obtained by ESPN.
