The big goal is for the signatures between the contractor and the Municipality of Athens to be signed by the middle of the summer.
After today’s meeting of the tender committee of the Municipality of Athens and the notification that only the consortium ACTOR – MYTILINEOS – TERNA they submitted a guarantee (there was another offer from the cosmograss company, which, however, did not submit a guarantee), the great project is now entering its final stretch.
In essence we are moving into the period in which everyone will be counting down to the start of work on Botanical. The tender committee sent the minutes to the financial committee of the Municipality of Athens and within the next 20 days it will be officially announced that the consortium of the three large companies will be the temporary contractor. In the following months the contractor will have to send all the necessary documents until the contract is signed. From there, the works for the construction of the football field will begin.
The above will become a reality within the year. However, the big goal is to have something like this happen in the summer in order to meet the schedule for the 2026. It is recalled that from the signing of the contract and the start of construction, 36 months are required for the most modern stadium in Greece to be ready!
