A few hours ago, Mr Domenico Tedesco is the new coach of the Belgian national teamwith the Italian-German coach taking charge of the national team for the first time in his career – having previously played for Aue, Schalke, Spartak Moscow and Leipzig.
The 37-year-old federal coach made his first statements and referred to the details of the agreement with the Belgians, explaining that “I was waiting for my date with him dentist when I found out Roberto Martinez was leaving from the team.
I contacted my agents directly to find out how I can get this position. I was told it would be complicated because of her my experience in the national teams but in the end everything fell into line.
Our goal is to qualify for Euro 2024. It won’t be easy but we have a talented team. In the last few weeks I watched the national championship, I see a lot of talent.
I could speak German to the players, using a translator but i prefer english, shows more respect. French; I haven’t spoken much in the last three years.”
