In a category where a total of 12 athletes participated, Kostelidis managed to win his first medal in an EJU international tournament. With three Ippon against the Montenegrin Kovinic, the Frenchman Da Costa and the Italian Rossi, Kostelidis reached the highest moment of his sports career to date, highlighting in this case also the new generation of Greek judo, which is preparing to star in the near future.
Apart from Kostelides, Sirinidou had a total of three wins in five matches, while Tsakirov had two wins in four matches.
With the two medals and the 5th place, yesterday, of Dimitriadis, Greece took the 4th place in the tournament in Italy, with the host country sweeping the medals followed by France and Israel.
Our athletes will remain in Naples until February 14, in order to participate in a training camp.
