The Serbian center for two and a half years has… taken the entire NBA by storm, and shows no intention of stopping impressing with his incredible offensive performances. In fact, this year, and while there are still… plenty of games, he has already surpassed the triple double he achieved last year and the year before!
In particular, in the two previous seasons, in which he was named MVP, “Joker” was a “triple” 19 times, while this year he has already hit 20 with Nuggets still have 25 games ahead of them!
His achievements are made more impressive by the fact that this year for the first time he averaged a triple double, as he counts 25 points, 11.4 rebounds and 10.1 assists. If he maintains these numbers at the end of the season, he will be only the third player in history to finish a year with a triple double average, after Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook.
If we add to all of this the fact that the Denver team is first in the Western standings with… a significant difference from the second placed Grizzlies, we understand that only by a miracle can the improbable Serbian lose his third consecutive MVP!
