The battles for the quarter-finals of the Cup in women’s volleyball continue, from which the four teams of the Final-4 will emerge.
The schedule will be opened by the match between Markopoulos and PAOK at 17:00, a few days after the tough battle they fought for the championship, where the “two-headed team of the north” prevailed with an upset in the tie break.
The “quarter-final” derby is the one between Olympiakos and AO Thiras at 18:00. The islanders reached the final last year, while the “red and white” want to return to the Final-4 after a year’s absence.
At the same time, AEK and Thetida Voulas will face each other, with both teams coming from big victories in the championship, the “yellow and black” against Panathinaikos and the team from the northern suburbs against AO Thiras.
The trophy holder, Panathinaikos, will face Aris in Mikra at 20:00. The “greens” want to return to winning ways after the defeat by AEK in the championship against the “yellows” who claim their first participation in the final-4.
The final phase will be held on March 10-11 at a venue that has not yet been announced. The draw for the semi-finals will be drawn on 16/2 (12:00 at the EOPE offices).
