Being famous has it’s upsides… You make a lot of money it seems. “Forbes” published the list of the 10 highest paid artists in the world in 2022.

The musical idol, Taylor Swiftis the only woman on the list and joins her bandmates Bad Bunny and Sting and the bands Rolling Stones and Genesis.

The “rich” group also includes several filmmakers and television actors, such as the power duo behind “The Simpsons” and “South Park.”

According to Forbes magazine, the artists on the list collected about $1.35 billion, just half of last year’s list of names such as Kanye West, Jay-Z and Bruce Springsteen.

Bad Bunny

10. Bad Bunny ($88 million)

The Puerto Rican rapper sold more than $400 million worth of tickets from his two tours, “El Último Tour del Mundo” and “World’s Hottest Tour.” He also secured advertising deals with brands such as Corona, Cheetos and Adidas.

Taylor Swift

9. Taylor Swift ($92 million)

Despite the singer’s hit album ‘Midnights’, which made her the first artist in history to simultaneously hold the top 10 spots on the Billboard Hot 100, the bulk of her $92 million came from her back catalog of songs released the past years. Swift has been on the list of the richest artists six more times.

James Cameron

8. James Cameron ($95 million)

The director received, at least, 95 million dollars from his movie “Avatar: The Road of Water”. Cameron is one of the highest-grossing directors of all time, having helmed 1997’s Titanic and 2009’s Avatar.

Mick Jagger

7. The Rolling Stones ($98 million)

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones pulled in more than $8.5 million a night on their European tour last year, dubbed “Sixty.”

Brad Pitt

6. Brad Pitt ($100 million)

In 2022, the Oscar-winning actor starred in movies like ‘Bullet Train’, ‘Babylon’ and ‘The Lost City’. He also earned about $113 million after cashing in on fees from a deal he made in December where he sold most of his production company, Plan B Entertainment, to Mediawan.

James L. Brooks and Matt Groening

5. James L. Brooks and Matt Groening ($105 million)

The creators of the hit animated series “The Simpsons” earned more than $100 million last year. More than 700 episodes have aired since the sitcom premiered in 1989. In 2019, all seasons of the show made the switch from FX to Disney+, which earned the creators $105 million annually, according to Forbes, which did not previously mentioned.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone

4. Trey Parker and Matt Stone ($160 million)

The creators of “South Park” pocketed $160 million due to the contract they signed with Paramount+ in 2021.

The exclusive deal will net them $935 million over six years. The partnership also allowed Parker and Stone to create 14 original “South Park” movies for the streaming service.

Tyler Perry

3. Tyler Perry ($175 million)

Perry is the richest celebrity on the list, with an estimated net worth of $1 billion.

The Sting

2. Sting ($210 million)

The musician and his band the Police sold their catalog, as well as his own solo discography, to Universal Music Group in 2022. The frontman pocketed $300 million before fees from the sale.

The Genesis

1. Genesis ($230 million)

Phil Collins and his band sold the rights to a portion of their catalog to Concord Music Group in September for $300 million. The deal also includes several of Collins’ solo works, including his song ‘In the Air Tonight’.
