Nottingham blocked City, shock defeat for Chelsea!

by

A block at the “City Ground” for Manchester City and… Arsenal is smiling! His team Pep Guardiola wasted a sack of opportunities and saw her Nottingham to punish her shortly before the final (1-1), leaving points and the… top in the hands of the “gunners”. Now, the “citizens” are at -2 from the leader Arsenal, who even have less matches and can, if they get it, “erase” last week’s defeat by the Manchester team.

The Citizens called for a penalty on Laporte in the 5th minute but it was denied by the referee, with Nottingham looking on the counter but not particularly… courageous and City breaking the Gordian knot in the 41st minute with Grealish setting up Bernardo Silva’s 1-0. The second half had a similar pace, with Guardiola’s side in control but the final shots he was making failed to find the target. Foden and Haaland threatened but did not score, with the visitors trying to manage the lead in their favor in the final. Nevertheless, they stepped on it when Vangelis Marinakis’ team found the equalizer in a quick counterattack with Gibbs-White turning and Wood slotting home from close range for a 1-1 final.

Defeat-shock for her Chelseawhich saw the Southampton to shock her in “Stamford Bridge” and leave with a huge double (0-1), reviving her hopes to avoid relegation. THE Ward-Prowse at 45’+1′ he scored the only goal of the match, with the guests playing massive defense until the end and taking the three points.

Victory-breather for Bournemouth and Evertonwhich won 1-0 against Wolves (away) and Leeds (inside), while Crystal Palace saw Brentford equalize in the final (1-1) and losing a big away three-pointer

In the battle of the six, Fulham got a huge 1-0 win at home to Brighton and remains alone 6th in the standings. Brighton were overall superior in the game, but Solomon in the 88th minute knew the “seagulls” to give the “cottagers” the three points.
