Reminded again… Liverpool and hopes for four!

by

Liverpool is here! A few days before the first game with the Real Madrid for his “16”. Champions Leaguehis team Jurgen Klopp produced probably her best performance of the year, passing through St. James’s Park and with 2-0 on her Newcastle reduced the gap between her rival and the top four to six points.

In fact, the “reds” have a game less, which means that if they win, they can find themselves at -3 of the “magpies”, who for the fifth consecutive match remained without a win (they previously had four consecutive draws).

Explosive start for the Liverpoolby Bath tubs to finish off Arnold’s ball superbly in the 10th minute to make it 1-0, while also scoring his sixth Premier League goal. Seven minutes later, Salah made it 2-0 Hakpo, who scored for the second game in a row and seems to be adjusting well to the “reds”. The game had started perfectly for the visitors and became even more disastrous for the hosts who saw the Pope to be eliminated in the 22nd minute and to “end” early any dreams and hopes they had for a come-back. Of course, despite the numerical disadvantage, Newcastle had two good phases until the end of the first part with Saint-Maximin and Bern, but without taking advantage of them.

The second half had a much slower pace, with the visitors managing their lead perfectly but also putting on the brakes, wanting to … conserve energy ahead of the first match against Real Madrid. Somehow, 2-0 in favor of Liverpool remained perfectly normal until the end, with Newcastle going for a fifth consecutive match without a hat-trick.
