THE PAOK welcomes Sunday evening (19/02, 20:30) the AEK in Toumba, in the big derby of the 23rd matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.
With his statements to Nova’s camera, Mr Rafa Soares, referred to the upcoming battle of the two “Two-Headed” teams, stressing, among other things, that PAOK is in good playing condition, while expressing his belief that the match will overflow from intensity and passion between two very good teams.
Rafa Soares’ statements in detail:
For PAOK’s week and preparation: “It wasn’t a different week, we’re fine. We worked hard and with the same will and concentration. We want to go hard to win the derby. Of course, we did not expect the last result. We have 14 finals to play, today is the first. We want to fight for the victory.”
For the Star game: “The game ends when the referee blows his last whistle. Even if we are two goals ahead, our attention and concentration must not go away for any reason. The Tripoli game gave us a good lesson that will help us in the future.”
On how PAOK should be in the final stretch of the regular season: “We have to be ourselves. The team has worked very well, we know what we have to do on the pitch. We play good football. What everyone should do is be themselves and have focus and passion in these kinds of games. We will fight for both titles until the final.”
For the derby with AEK: “The game against AEK will be a match for fighters. It will have intensity and passion. AEK has quality and that is why it is in the position it is. We have studied the game well and what her weapons will be. We have to go in with the right mindset and apply our work on the field. I think we will succeed.”
