Announcement of the players of P. Faliros about the accruals

In a statement issued on Monday, the players of P. Faliros’ polo team are suing the management for the money owed to them and for the various problems they are facing, referring to a teammate who left due to the financial difficulties that arose.

In detail, the announcement:

“After much patience, we consider it our duty to make known the problems we face and to position ourselves regarding them. The non-support of the athletes from the union and, in particular, the insolvency in terms of the payment of the travel expenses, but also the complete indifference and disrespect to our work by the administrators results in the creation of a lot of problems.

The resentment we experience, combined with the management’s manipulations, divides the team, resulting in its weakening. As a consequence of the above, a climate of dissatisfaction and disdain is cultivated daily in the team with the extreme consequence of the departure of an athlete in the middle of the competition season.

We feel that some people are taking advantage of our respect and love for sports. We, as athletes, will continue to work for the benefit of the sport we love, respecting our work and effort.

Therefore, we are today in the unpleasant position, unpaid for almost four months, to announce that if a solution is not found immediately and the agreed payments are not paid, we will claim them by any legal means”.
