To its creator, Domenico Sepe, its municipal Authorities returned Naplesthe much-discussed statue of the legendary Diego Armando Maradona which for a long time graced the stadium of “take part”.
The reason seems to be mainly bureaucratic reasons, but also the disagreement about what exactly is the ideal position for it.
At the unveiling of the statue that took place on November 25, 2021 outside the stadium “Diego Armando Maradona” both important personalities of the political sphere and old glories of the Neapolitans were present.
The statue had recently been moved and was no longer outside the stadium as the municipality investigated whether all the procedures surrounding the donation followed the necessary protocols.
Finally, on Thursday (23/02) the statue was returned to him Domenico Sepe with the Municipality stressing that it cannot accept a donation of such great value and must ensure impartiality towards other creators.
The creator of the statue that had caused various comments for the fact that he chose to place the ball on his right foot “Pibe d’ Oro”is preparing to take legal action against the Municipal Authorities, as his wish is for the statue to return outside its stadium Naples.
