Deep “breath” for Espanyol with… hot Braithwaite!

Her second consecutive victory, for the first time this season, was celebrated by Espanyolprevailing Mallorca 2-1 at “RCDE Stadium”, as part of the 23rd matchday of La Liga!

A great protagonist for the Catalans was Martin Braithwaite, with the 31-year-old Dane scoring both of his team’s goals. In the 22nd minute, he opened the scoring with a close-range shot, after a tragic mistake by the visitors and Vidal’s turnover, while in the 41st minute, Mallorca leveled the match with a terrific goal by Muriki from the top of the box!

The final score was made by Braithwaite’s header in the 51st minute after a nice assist by Melemed. Three points with which Espanyol climbed to 12th place of the leaderboard with 27 points, and at +5 from the relegation zone. On the other hand, Mallorca remained at 31 degreesI was at -3 from the six.
