“Happy new year to everyone. I hope you enjoyed the last days of last year and celebrated them properly!

After an agreement with the club management, I was able to leave the team earlier as they gave me a few extra days off. My family and I took advantage of it by traveling to Dubai, where we celebrated the New Year with my former teammate in Basel and national team member Marek Souhi and his family.

The coming of the new year is also connected with the New Year resolutions, and I have several! In February, Olympiacos and I will face the first challenge with the double matches in the Europa League against Atalanta, and we want to move on to the next round!

In March, the Czech national team is waiting for us to play in the play-offs of the World Cup, something that will be extremely difficult, but I would very much like to qualify!

Of course I want to win a championship, which unfortunately I did not manage to do in Spain. With the arrival of summer, I look forward to facing the top teams in the League of Nations, where we will face the best players in the world.
